Spring Englishtown Swap Meet & Auto Show
Where - Raceway Park,
Englishtown, NJ
When - April 16-18, 2004
Overview - OK. I've never been here
before so I have to start off by apologizing. I had to do other things so
I didn't get there until 2:00 PM on the last day. That proved to be a
mistake because it can easily take a few days to see it all if you take your
time. Additionally, since it was getting late people were packing up and
leaving. I had to go fast to see what was left but the pics are worth
seeing I suppose.

This GT 350H was the first Mustang I
cam across. It was with a few other Mustangs near the end of the
show field. There were Corvettes all around them. I was
hoping they weren't the only Mustangs there. I guess they ran out
of room by the other Fords so they put tucked them in where they could. |

Here are the cars that were with the
GT 350H |
Sorry, but I like the really old ones.
I like seeing the interesting equipment that came with the cars.
Less people milling around them made it easier to get pics too. I
had to go quickly! |

OK. I found some more
Mustangs. I thought they were fairly well represented in the
bunch. |
A 1964 Falcon Sprint. They say
the Mustang is a rebodied Falcon. I see little resemblance.
I guess they were really trying start fresh. |

|
|
Other Fords were there too. |
A couple of T-Birds |

Right - All hail the mighty I6!.
I give this person credit for not transplanting a V8 in there.
Left - A '70 Torino with a 429. |

The show field was on what they
typically use as the drag strip. It goes all the way back to the
white building in the far distance. I'm not really sure how long
it is. A mile? The stream of cars in the middle were people
leaving. When I go back to this one it will be on the first day
and I'll get there early. The swap meet is on both sides of the
show field. It was really much much larger than I expected it to
be. To be honest I was wandering around one side looking for the
show field and it took me a while to locate it. Then I found the
other side of the swap meet. Impressive show. |

I guess being stuck in traffic is
easier to swallow in a Boss 302. |
My "200 footer".
Distance and dim lighting can make anything look good. |
